This will be the fifth annual plein air paintout the Frank Bette Center for the Arts will be hosting. The artists will be painting throughout the quaint city of Alameda throughout the week. There will be a quick draw held on Thurs. July 29th, from noon to five. On Sat.the 31st. the artwork will be shown at the Towne Center from 10am-7pm. Visit the beautiful island of Alameda and enjoy viewing the wonderful artwork  produced during the five days of painting.....you may find a gem of a painting that you can't live without.

    " For the 4th consecutive year , the Frank Bette Center for the Arts is hosting a Plein Air Paintout affectionately called PAPo. Although,  the French term plein air is always used, it simply means "in the open air".
            Forty painters from all over will converge in Alameda to record it's unique character and beauty. This is a chance for the public to participate in the creative process by observing and dialoging with the artist.There will be several opportunities to purchase the paintings produced during the week and to own a piece of the island forever lovely and unchanged."   Come join the festivities.
